March 25th Palm Sunday Service is at 8:00 am and 10:30 am with Communion at both services. A bake sale to help support our Confirmation Kids Camp this summer will be set up on Sunday.

Easter Sunday Services April 1, 2018

Easter Sunday Services are at 6:30 am and 9:00 am. Everyone is welcome to come and join in with us as we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord.

We will be hosting a Community Pancake and Sausage Breakfast between the 2 services and we will also have an Community Easter Egg hunt for the Children between the 2 services.

We would like to invite everyone to come and join in our celebration and praise of our Lord, Jesus.

He has Risen, He has Risen, Indeed!


Ash Wednesday 2/14, Maundy Thursday 3/29, Good Friday 3/30 Lenten Services 2/21, 29, 3/7, 14, 21

Ash Wednesday, February 14th. We will be having services at 11:30 am and 7:00 pm with the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion at both services.

March 29, Maundy Thursday there will be one service at 7:00 pm. We will have the re-enactment of the Lord’s Supper, a celebration of Holy Communion, and stripping of the altar.

March 30, Good Friday, there will be a traditional liturgical worship accompanied by the organ  at 7:00 pm

We will continue our Lenten Services on the following Wed. Feb. 21, 28, Mar. 7, 14, 21 with a Lenten Lunch with Friends at 11:30. There will be a sign-up sheet for the soup and sandwich potluck being held in the fellowship hall. At 7:00 pm we will continue our worship with The Holden Village Evening Prayer being led by our very own Chickletts. A beautiful service of song and prayer. Pastor Bonnie will present a Gospel story followed by a life applicable faith message of someone who met Jesus and experienced his compassion, healing, and grace.



Our church’s 132nd  Anniversary Celebration will be held this Feb. 25th under the big tent!

We will offer plates of homemade sausage, beans, potato salad, and cole slaw. The meal tickets are $9.00. We will also have plenty of homemade goodies, like pies, cake, and cookies for dessert for a “love offering”!

There will be a live auction, a silent auction, a country store, live music provided by the Litt’l Fisherman, and a raffle. We will also have a bouncy house for the kid, a cake walk, and many other fun things to do and see.

Meal Tickets are available now for purchase at the church for $9.00 a plate.

Information for the raffle tickets will be posted as soon as information is available.

Our 10:30 church service music to be provided by the Litt’l Fisherman.


Our church will be hosting a Healthy Congregation Workshop on January 27 from 9:00am – 3:00pm.

Annual Congregation Meeting November 19th

Our church’s annual congregation meeting is on November 19th after our second service. We will be electing church council, approve a budget for 2018, approve ELCA constitution updates and more. All confirmed church members are encouraged to attend. Your voice does matter! Show your interest in our congregation’s future as we do God’s work in this place and beyond.


Women of the ELCA

The officers of the Women of ELCA will  hold their annual planning meeting for the new year on Saturday, November 18th beginning at 8:00 am. The group will meet in the fellowship hall.

Also, save the date of December 9th for the WELCA annual Christmas Brunch. It will start at 9:00 am in the church fellowship hall. All women are welcome to attend.

Veterans Day Celebration Sunday November 12th

A special dinner will be held at 11:45 am to honor all the military veterans in our congregation. The meal will be catered this year, and is being sponsored by the Women of ELCA. A sign up sheet will be available in the church fellowship hall and narthex. Please let us know if you will be able to attend. We will have a slid show recognizing our veterans. If you haven’t already done so, all those who have served in the military are asked to bring a picture from your service days. You may bring them to the church office and we will scan them and return to you immediately. Or you may email a picture to Dawn Young at

All Saints’ Celebration Sunday, November 5th

This year all Saints’ Sunday is November 5th, and we will celebrate at both services with our traditional walk out to the cemetery as we remember Christ Lutheran Members who died since last All Saints’ Sunday.

After the 10:30  service there will be a potluck dinner as we join in fellowship of all God’s saints. Bring your favorite potluck meal or dessert to share!

October 29th Reformation Festival Sunday

Pastor Bonnie Claycomb will lead us in our celebration of the heart of our faith: the Gospel of Christ – the good news – that makes us free. We will remember the theologian and reformer Martin Luther and his passion and courage to speak out for the sake of the Gospel.

Our 8:00 am and 10:30 am worship services (communion both services) will also include the Commissioning of Christian Education Teachers and Mentors.

Also at 9:15 am we will offer our Sunday School. All ages are welcome to join.
